Sat Photos May Show Iran Hiding Nuke Gear [Military]

To the naked eye, the photo above doesn't seem to show anything more than a couple of bland houses against a deary landscape. But a prominent nuclear-weapons researcher thinks it might display the concealment of Iran's nuclear program. All this over a few water stains.[top] More »

Qype, The Yelp Of Europe, Claims Top Dog Status With 860,000 Places Reviewed, Expands Daily Deals

qype logoJust as we get news of some consolidation in the local content market in the UK, some news of expansion, too: Qype, the Yelp of Europe (and Yelp's closest competitor in the region), today announced that the number of places reviewed on its site has reached 860,000, with the number of monthly unique visitors now numbering 25 million. It claims that this makes it the biggest reviews site in the region, about five times bigger than its closest competitor, the U.S.-based Yelp. And while companies like Groupon are trying to move beyond the daily deal to become the platform for local commerce, Qype is doubling-down on the concept, expanding its own deals offerings with a free service to attract more local businesses to the concept.

More big news this week includes President Obama's declaration of support of same sex marriage, the creation of the Tanning Doll in honor of the Tanning Mom, how Mila Kunis and Dustin Hoffman are the latest celebrity superheroes and how Procter & Gamble, P&G, is helping all moms of U.S. Olympians and Paralympians travel to the Summer Games in London.

AT-AT PC Case Mod: and you thought it was just geeky on the outside

at-at-pc-case-mod-mini-ITX-intel-i7

This isn't the first Star Wars-themed peripheral we've featured. Not by a long shot. Not even today. It's not even the first AT-AT case mod we've had, but we can safely say it poses the most danger to the alliance. With a mini-ITX mainboard, Intel Core i7-2600K CPU and 8GB of RAM, this walker might actually have enough brains to avoid a harpoon and tow cable, and with elaborate watercooling the Hasbro plastic shouldn't get scorched either. The icing on the imperial cake is weapons and interior that light up with the touch of a remote. Want to see how modder Asphiax made it happen? Then pewpew the source link.
